The Magpie Rebels

2017-present

With a name inspired by Stuart Vevers’ Spring 2017 collection, Ally Smith and fellow Coach manager, Jess Cearley, started Magpie Rebels to influence brand awareness in their local market, and their peers—generating event attendance and appointment sales from some of Ally’s Top & VIP clients.

In Fall of 2019, The Magpie Rebels were 1 of 23 accounts selected to participate in a Social Media Pilot with Coach as “internal influencers”. Images from the account have been shared multiple times on Coach.com and featured on internal training materials.

In Fall 2020, Magpie Rebels became solely operated by Ally and was selected to participate in the North America Social Influencers program again. She was also asked to create UGC for CoachOutlet.com prior to the brand launching the influencer program with their outlet employees.

Ally co-hosted North America’s first Instagram Live shopping event alongside 3 of her peers to support the 2021 Mother’s Day collection and promotion.

Ally was selected to participate in Coach’s 80th Anniversary campaign by sharing a personal story about one of her Coach handbags. This was featured on the brands social channels in May of 2021.

Dora Mae Jewelry

Oct 2019-Jan 2020

A champion for local businesses, Ally partnered with Dora Mae Jewelry as a Brand Ambassador, successfully driving additional sales and brand awareness in the community.

Lancôme

November 2018-January 2019

1 of 100 accounts to be selected for a 3 month partnership through Zyper, to create content for Lancôme. Her roles as a micro-influencing “Brand Fan” included posting 2 permanent posts and 1 story per month, including a link in bio, and using brand provided hashtags to promote Lancôme’s new Teint Idole collection.

Bumble

September 2018- December 2018

As a Bumble City Rep, Ally was responsible for creating content to drive app usage and event attendance for the modern dating/social platform.

Forema Boutique

August 2013- March 2017

In addition to her management roles, Ally was also responsible for curating and photographing content for Forema Boutique’s social media accounts & website. Through styling and consistent engagement on social media platforms, she was able to successfully drive sales and grow Forema’s audience.
